Zu unserem letzten Open Air im Zelt in diesem Jahr begrüßen wir Oceans aus Melbourne/Australien mit Songs aus ihrem neuen, bald erscheinen Album und alten Songs. Über die Musik selbst schreiben sie: "Oceans return with a new brand of sonic experimentation in their new 10 track Sophomore LP set for release in September 2024. Recorded and produced with legendary Australian producer Lindsay Gravina (Rowland S. Howard, Magic Dirt), the LP draws on the vibrancy of 90s Dream Pop and electronic drum machines to explore a more uptempo and colourful approach to shoegaze. The album features heavy songwriting contributions from both leading songwriters, Thomas and Mayzie Lee as the band further broadens their sonic horizons." Bei uns treten sie als Trio Tom Lee (guitar, vocals), Mayzie Lee (vocals) und Dave Escott (bass) auf.

"William Bleak ist eine Post Punk/Cold Wave-Band aus Berlin, die harte elektronische Beats mit manischen Gitarren und gutturalen Bässen zu einem grotesken, jedoch feierbarem Sound kombiniert.
Gegründet als verträumte Post Punk-Band, entwickelte das Projekt sich dank der grauen Winter Berlins rapide. Die Melancholie wurde dabei für Verzweiflung eingetauscht, aus stillem Schmerz wurde Wut und ein Verlangen nach Bewegung.
In den ersten Monaten des Jahres 2024 allein veröffentlichte die Band vier erfolgreiche Singles, vier selbstproduzierte Musikvideos und schloss erfolgreich eine Tour der amerikanischen Westküste ab.
Der Sound von William Bleak ist die perfekte Fusion aus Dance Punk- Sensibilitäten und Cold Wave-Verzweiflung, eine erschütternde Synthese, die nun wieder Europa heimsuchen wird.
